Harold R. “Tex” Parker age 95 died June 13, 2014. He was born November 17, 1918 in St. Johns, MI to Seth and Florence Lone (Penix) Parker. Tex was a cafeteria worker at the John Bean Corporation until the business closed. He especially enjoyed horses, yard work and chewing tobacco.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Edith Parker in 1990; 2 brothers, Wesley and Carl; and 3 sisters, Doris, Lila and Edna. Surviving are one sister, Dorothy Cooley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Ball-Dunn Chapel, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, MI with Rev. Charles Krueger, Chaplain of Great Lakes Hospice officiating. Interment will be in Eastlawn Memory Gardens, Okemos, MI. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, June 17, 2014 from 6-8 PM.
