Harold Leo Tupper, age 81, died May 20, 2011. He was born September 30, 1929, in Weidman, MI to Leo and Wilma (Jackson) Tupper. A veteran of WWII Mr. Tupper honorably served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Fisher Body as a fork lift operator. He loved the out-of-doors enjoying hunting, fishing, snow mobiling and camping.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gaylen and 4 sisters, Donna Sickles, Mary Thocker, Evelyn Campbell and Margaret Smith.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Dorothy; daughter, Debi (Dean) Lewis; 5 grandchildren, Stacy (Chad) Schlicher, Tracy (Darren) Whipple, Darcie (Andy) Franklin, Kassie Rhodes, Christopher Tupper; 4 great-grandchildren, Rylee Rhodes, Ashlynn Bannon, McKenzie Franklin, Regan Rhodes; 2 brothers, Vic (Lois) Tupper, Harvey (Geraldine) Tupper; 2 sisters, June Ingles, Claudine (Lou) Ross; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, MI 48854. The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 4:00 PM. Military honors provided by the American Legion Browne-Cavender Post #148.
