

Henrietta Hazel Roberts (Ewing), affectionately known by many as Henry or Hankie, passed away on July 9, 2024, at the age of 83 at her home in Mason, Michigan. Born in Lansing, Michigan, she spent her years enriching the lives of those around her with her kind-hearted and loving nature.
Henrietta dedicated 23 years to the Okemos Public Schools as a baker, where she combined her passion for baking and nurturing into a career that touched many. Her love for baking extended into her personal life, where she was renowned for her cooking and enjoyed feeding people, embodying her generous and caring spirit.
Her hobbies included crocheting, spending time at her cabin in Wellston, MI, going to the casino, and engaging in puzzles and puzzle books. Henrietta cherished family gatherings and time spent with her sister Judy, with whom she shared many joyful moments. Her family was her greatest pride, and her silly sense of humor will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Henrietta is survived by her two sons Tim Roberts, and David Roberts, her 2 biological grandchildren, 3 non-biological grandchildren, 4 biological great grandchildren, and many non-biological great grandchildren, and her sister Judy Kenny.
Henrietta was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Loren William Roberts who passed away October 8th, 2017, and her parents, Ralph and Dorothy Ewing (Sebolt), her 3 sisters Joann, Carol, and Maryellen, and four brothers Richard, Roger, Joseph, and Charles. She leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication that will be cherished by all who were fortunate to have known her.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, July 18th, 2024, from 3-5 PM, facilitated by Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Home in Mason, MI. Henrietta's life will be celebrated and remembered as a pure gem who dedicated her life to serving her husband and family, and loved by everyone who crossed her path.
