Age 84, died April 24, 2013; born October 24, 1928 in Mason, Michigan to Henry and Crystal (Peterman) Fries. Jack served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was employed at several places, Diamond Reo, Demmer Corp., and Capitol City Tool and Die. After retiring Jack worked at two golf courses, Branson Bay and Chisholm Hills. He loved golfing and bowling but truly enjoyed hanging around the bowling alley, his home away from home. He enjoyed spending time with his family and all the special occasions. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; 5 siblings, Vincent, Bessie, Hank, Art and Jerry. He is survived by his sister, Louise Graves; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Jack will be held on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, MI with Rev. Steve Malson officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Eaton Community Palliative Care, 2675 S. Cochran, Charlotte, MI 48813.
