

Jim cherished his family and will always be remembered as a dear and devoted husband to the love of his life, Maureen. Not a day went by without him telling her he loved her. He set a fine example of how a true husband should be. Jim and Maureen loved spending time together up north on Lake Superior hunting for agates and other rocks. He was a bear lover and had many photos of bears. Jim also loved his cats and was affectionately referred to as “Crazy Catmandu”
He is survived by his wife, Maureen Herrick; son of our heart, Jim (Julia) Desormier; daughter, Tammy (Dave) Brown; son, James (Tricia) Herrick; son, Donald Hilderbrandt; son, Ronald Dean; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother, Ray Herrick; sister, Doretta Isaac; sister, Beverly Mannor. James was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marlene Waterson.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home Mason. Visiting will be held an hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
