Janice Rae Dietrich

Jan was preceded in death by the love of her life, Charles "Charlie" Dietrich, her husband of 41 years.

Jan is survived by her stepdaughter, Charyl Reynolds (Dietrich), her nephew, Kimball Inghram, and God-daughter, Janice Samson (Patterson). While Jan never had children of her own, she had many “adopted” children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she loved dearly, who loved her and will miss her every day. Jan is also survived by many wonderful close friends and neighbors for whom she was very grateful. Jan was known for a strong will and a great work ethic. She worked her way up the ranks at Palmer Engineering to be Production Manager, a position at which she excelled. Jan also was the social planner for Charlie’s many work parties and trips abroad to entertain his business associates.

Pursuant to Jan’s wishes, there will be “NO FUNERAL OR MEMORIAL” (emphasis, Jan’s, in her handwritten instructions). Anyone wishing to honor Jan’s memory may make a donation to the Heartwood School, Mason, MI, (“Ingham ISD/Heartwood School”), which was dear to Jan’s heart and where she volunteered for 20 some years, or to the charity of their choice.
