Janice Elaine Palmer, 82, of Mason, MI passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024, at home. Born in Cadillac, MI July 7, 1941, she was the oldest of six kids. She is the daughter of the late Fred Thomas Veldsma Jr. and Janet Bazuin Veldsma. Janice graduated from Lockhart, TX. Attended Central Michigan University for a short time. Moved to Mason to work for the State and family run businesses. She became an entrepreneur later in life until retirement. She loved gardening and spending time with family.
Janice was the beloved wife of the late Richard Louis Palmer of Mason, MI; mother of Jennifer (Mike) Pfeifer; stepmother of Julie (Brian) Hearit, both of Mason, MI and the late Jeff Palmer of Arizona; grandmother of Corey, Alex, Oceanna, Ryan and Deklan; great grandmother of Atreyu, Bastian and Ayden; sister of Fred Thomas (Linda) Veldsma of Estero, FL, Linda (Norm) Lillie of Griffin, GA, Connie (Rick) Peel of Griffin, GA, John (Robin) Veldsma of Marietta, GA and the late Sharon Veldsma of Griffin, GA.
