Janice Mulford Williams

She was born July 22, 1933 to the late Frank “Tex” and Jeanette Evans in Battle Creek Michigan. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Janice attended Mason High School in Mason, Michigan. She married her high school sweetheart, James William Caltrider, in 1952, moving to California upon James' graduation from Michigan State University. They shared their lives raising their 3 children, and enjoyed camping and fishing throughout California, eventually returning to Michigan in 1969. Janice returned to Mason after James' death in 1988 to care for her mother, Jeanette Evans. Janice married Don Williams in 2006 sharing numerous adventures camping and fishing until Don's death in 2014. Janice will be remembered for her humility, her love and respect for folks of all walks of life, and her love of animals.

Janice is preceded in death by her parents; her twin brother, John Evans; her first husband, James Caltrider; and her second husband, Don Williams.

Janice is survived by her son, James (Kristin) Caltrider; daughter, Cynthia Caltrider; son, Larry (Susan) Caltrider; grandchildren, Jamie, Jacob, Ethan, Ben, Mikaela, Michael, Christopher, and Meghan; great-grandchildren, Arrow, Mason, Cole, Savannah, Madison, and Danielle; and sister, Roberta (Richard) Hayes.

A memorial service for Janice will be held graveside on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Maple Grove Cemetery, 213 N Jefferson St., Mason, MI 48854.
