Josephine E. Donaldson

Age 93, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 21, 2012. She was born on January 6, 1919 in Isabella Co. to Jesse J. and Clara Belle (Pitts) Burgess. Josephine had worked for the Okemos Public Schools for 27 years. She was a lifelong member of Mason First Church of the Nazarene. Josephine was a very loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother who will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Donaldson; son, Lynn Donaldson; grandson, Bruce Donaldson; 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Surviving are, her daughter, Dee (Dick) Bartlett; 2 sons, William R. (Nancy) and Robert (Laura) Donaldson; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren and one sister, Clara Belle Johnson. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 12 Noon at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson St. Mason, with the Rev. Gerhard Weigelt of Mason First Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
