Kenneth Parker Irey 82, passed away on October 24, 2011 in Holt, Michigan. He was born in Redford, MI on October 18, 1929 to Carl and Lillian Irey. He was preceded in death by his wife Sandy, daughter Robin, and sister Geraldine. He is survived by his wife Janet, his sons Parker (Alice) Irey, Tim Wilson & Hilde, and Lance (Janet) Irey, his daughters Cindy (David) Langdon, and Alison (Mark) Travis, his stepchildren Marcia (Chris) Grondahl, Tom (Pam) Taylor, Ron (Eileen) Taylor, Jeff (Gayle) Taylor, and Colleen (Melody) Taylor, his grandchildren, Nichole, Kenneth, Craig, Heather, Kyle, Morgan, Robin, Robert, Tom, John, Adam, Kelli, Casey, and Tiffany, brother Wilson (Jay) Irey, and sisters Leona DeNio, and Thelma Mean, many nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, friends, and extended herd.

Ken was a combat veteran of the Korean war, serving as a Master Sergeant in the United States Army. He was a talented woodworker, enjoyed playing golf, gardening, photography, loved animals and practical jokes. He spent over 50 years in the construction industry. His last project was Ele's Place in Lansing.

Services will be held at the Dansville United Methodist Church on Saturday October 29th at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to the Dansville United Methodist Church at 1317 East Mason Street Dansville, Michigan 48819. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 at the church. Suggested attire: red socks. The family is being served by the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, Michigan.
