Kenneth "Kenny" Charles Kauffman

Kenneth Charles “Kenny” Kauffman, age 75, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026. He was born on April 18, 1951, in Mason, Michigan, to Wilma Cline and Cyrus Kauffman. On July 25, 1970, he married Patricia R. Davis, and together they shared nearly 56 years of love, devotion, and family.

Kenny was a lifelong musician and guitar enthusiast who was well known throughout the Lansing area for more than 60 years. A talented and respected guitarist, he had a deep passion for music that touched countless lives.

As a Christian, Kenny was a dedicated provider for his family and a man of strong character. He will be remembered for his selfless nature, quick wit, sense of humor, and work ethic. More than anything, he cherished his role as husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His greatest happiness came from spending time with his family.

Kenny is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Kauffman of Dansville; son, Bryan Kauffman of Mason; daughter, Erica Kauffman; son, Jon-Paul Kauffman of Hollywood, California; grandchildren, Vanna and Maddie Beard, Ivan and Alex Pappenheimer, and Sadie Pierce; sister, Carol Stowe; and several beloved nieces and nephews, including Gwen, Shelly, Casey, Shaun, Rachel, and Matthew.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sara Pappenheimer; nephew, Brad Stowe; and mother-in-law, Maggie Barrix.

Kenny's legacy lives on through the family he loved, the music he shared, and the many lives he touched with his kindness, generosity, and friendship. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered prayers, support, and expressions of sympathy during this difficult time.
