Age 67, died January 10, 2012, born June 8, 1944 to Carl and Ruth (Pease) Wardell. Lela worked for the State of Michigan for 26 years. She was a member of the Columbia Road Baptist Church. She had a love for all animals especially dogs, loved the mountains of Wyoming and everyone she met. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald R. Hodges. She is survived by her son Benjamin Hodges, and her brother Carl (Donna) Wardell, Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Columbia Road Baptist Church, 5000 W. Columbia Rd., Mason, MI with the Rev. John Hayden officiating. Interment will follow at the DeWitt Cemetery, DeWitt, MI. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 13, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Church. Contributions in Lela’s memory may be made to the Columbia Road Baptist Church.
