She was born on June 28, 1956 in Lansing, MI to Kenneth and Helen (Hawes) Benjamin.
She was an avid bowler, bowling with her husband and daughters for many years in different leagues. Linda was a die hard fan of the Detroit Tigers. She was also a dedicated employee of the United States Postal Service for many years and retired in 2021.
Linda never came across a dog she didn’t love and welcomed some of those dogs into her home and introduced them to her love of camping where they were spoiled with lots of treats, long walks, and dog beaches. Her favorite thing, next to her family, was camping. She enjoyed visiting many state park campgrounds, with her favorites being Ludington, South Higgins Lake, and Bruin Lake. She loved sitting around the campfire at night, laughing with her family and drinking a bud light lime.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Jeff; daughters, Heather (Jacob) Walters, Jenny (TJ Parce) McNamara and Kristen McNamara; grandchildren, Morgan Walters, Kayla Alana, Tyler (Lauren) Parce, Ryane (Cohner) Crowley, Emma Parce, Mckenna Crowley, Ethan Parce, Nora Walters and Dylann Crowley; siblings, Nancy Squier, Larry (Barb) Benjamin, Lois Wright, Kevin Benjamin, Karen (Mark) Dymond; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Sawyer Walters; brothers-in-law, Keith Wright, Jerry Squier and Chuck McNamara; sister-in-law, Kathy McNamara; in-laws, Walter and Eilein McNamara; and sisters, Alice and Mary Benjamin.
In honor of Linda’s love for animals, the family asks that in lieu of flowers any donations be made to the Capital Area Humane Society.
A celebration of life will be held on June 28, 2025 from 12pm-4pm at Jackson National Life Pavilion 2550 Sandhill Rd, Mason, MI 48854.
