Marvin D. Hannahs, age 77, went to be with the Lord and the many family members he had missed for many years on March 15, 2018. Marvin Passed at home surrounded by his family and friends he loved so much. Marvin was born to Logan and Alta (Bliesener) Hannahs April 6, 1940. Marvin was one of 12 children Logan and Alta were blessed with. Marvin married Joyce Kunkleman, June 10, 1961. They share 8 children; Carrie Harley, Debra Hall, Charles Hall, Vesta Andrus, Richard Hannahs, Kem Hannahs, Thomas Hannahs, Chris (Lesia) Hannahs,. They have 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Marvin is survived by one brother Gareth “Gary” (Bonnie) Hannahs. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents Logan and Alta (Bliesener) Hannahs; his brothers Logan “Jim” (Alice) Hannahs, Ludwick “Lud” (Mary Jo) Hannahs, Delbert “Del” (Barbara) Hannahs, Darwin “Dee Dee” (Nancy) Hannahs, Gordon “Gordy” (Donna Jean) Hannahs; and his sisters Leona (Fred) Squires, Alta “Ernie” (William) Raines, Erica (William) Olson, June (Peter) Mollitor, Lela (Robert) Beltz.
Marvin endured much throughout his life as he had many health struggles. He left this world just like he lived surrounded with love. Marvin was a carpenter by trade. His fondest memories are of family times shared at Lake St. Helens camping, hunting, and fishing. One of his greatest passions was raising and flying the homing pigeons that he had for most of his life. Marvin and Joyce had a daycare at their home for many years. They were Grandpa and Grandma to all. Marvin’s wishes were to have no funeral service. He wanted people to remember him in happy times not sad ones. A memorial may be organized and announced at a later date. Marvin, Grandpa, Dad, Gramps, Pops, Snaps, you will be missed so much.
