Born June 8, 1931 in New York; died February 2, 2013 at the age of 81. She was well known for having a “green thumb” and it was easy to tell her favorite flowers and color by the abundance of the beautiful red roses she grew. She loved to cook and bake and was an avid U of M fan. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Puckett, Jr.; parents, Norah (Lee) Hulett, Almo (Edna) Janutolo, her twin brother, Almo J. Janutolo, former in-laws James and Stella Puckett and several dear brother and sister-in-laws. Surviving are her daughters, Barbara (James) Mongeau of Dimondale, Sandra (James) Leasure of Mason; grandchildren David Mongeau of Dimondale, Timothy (Tonya) Mongeau of San Antonio, TX, Sarah Erin (David) Reeves of Dexter; her great grandchildren; sister, Veronica (Carl) Tyler of Lansing; brother, Albert (Karen) Janutolo of Brutus; sister-in-law, Janice Simons of Bluefield, WV; brother-in-law, Maynard Puckett of Shelbyville, TN; many nieces, nephews and her second family, the Staff at Ingham County Medical Care Facility, all who loved her dearly. Funeral Mass for Mary will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. James Catholic Church, 1010 S. Lansing, Mason, MI with the family receiving friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary’s memory may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 S.
