

Pegge graduated from Holt High School in 1952. She married Arnold Kosloski in 1953. Pegge had a baby girl named Sandra on February 22, 1954. Pegge later divorced and gave up her 9 month old daughter to her maternal grandparents to pursue a professional singing career. She sang solo in night clubs and also started a band called “Pegge and the Boys”. Pegge traveled all over to sing including, Detroit, Chicago, New Orleans, Las Vegas, New York, Winnipeg Canada, Jamaica, Japan and more. She sang in Playboy clubs, Rooster Tail in Detroit, even Archie Tarpoffs in downtown Lansing.
Pegge had a near fatal car accident in Lansing in 1972 and her life spiraled out of control. After her car accident Pegge realized how precious life was and became a Christian. God healed her relationship with her daughter Sandra in 1982 and they became best friends for life. She later studied to become an ordained minister and was able to officiate her daughter Sandra’s wedding in 1996 and even some of her friend’s weddings. She was filled with the spirit and would share Jesus with anyone that would listen. Pegge spread joy to everyone she met. She loved music, singing, garage saling, going out to dinner with friend and family and going to plays, etc.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Stratton; father, Leo Underhill; brothers, Buddy Bascom, Richard Underhill; sisters, Iris Hughes and Joyce Travis.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Sandra (John) Seiler of Mason; brother, Ron (Dottie) Underhill of Mason; sister, Nancy Zalewski of Hastings.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday May, 3, 2019 at Munger Cemetery in Eaton Rapids, MI. A memorial service will be held at a later date at New Hope Church in Haslett. A Memorial Service will be held at New Hope Church, 1340 Haslett Rd in Haslett on May 13th Monday at 11am. Luncheon to follow service.
