Age 89, died May 12, 2013; born February 16, 1924 to William and Virginia (Wardwell) Penrose. She has been a resident of Mason for 45 years. She had a strong faith in God and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mason. She had been a realtor with Coldwell-Banker Bowler for many years; loved music and playing cards. She was a very funny lady and enjoyed life and her family. She has really missed Sam, her life-long love and husband who preceded her in death in 2005.
Surviving are her daughters, Lynn (Don) Thompson, Robin (Gary) Naeyaert; sons, Rickter “Skip” (Betty) Clay, Kevin “Scott” Shandor; 7 grandchildren, Matt Naeyaert, Kevin Naeyaert, Erica Case, Rik (Candace) Clay, Ryan Clay, Brandy (Chad) Mesecar, Jamey Zimmerman; and 3 great grandchildren, Taylar Porter, Brandon Mesecar, Chase Mesecar. She was loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Mason, 201 E. Ash St., Mason, MI with visitation on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service at the Church
The family would like to express special thanks to McLaren Hospice Services and the staff at Green Acres in Mason. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Green Acres Retirement Center, 1025 E. Ash, Mason, MI 48854 in memory of Pennie Clay.
