Passed away March 15, 2015, beloved husband of 50 years of the late Gertrude Farero, cherished father of Deborah (Ronnie) Kranz, Carrie (Robert) Washock, and Richard Farero. Loving grandfather to Daniel (Elizabeth) Kranz; Colin, Brendan, Bridget Washock; Samantha and Abagail Farero. He was born June 10, 1933 in Cheboygan and raised his family in Mason.

He was preceded in death by a son, William, daughter Diana Farero Gaedke and grandson James Casey Gaedke.

Dan was an avid outdoorsman - enjoying hunting and fishing and all creatures great and small. He retired from Jerico Construction after working in heavy equipment for a number of years.

There will be a celebration of his life held from 2 until 5 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2015, at the Aurelius Township Hall in Mason, 1939 S. Aurelius Rd., Mason, MI. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Eaton Community Palliative Care, 2675 S. Cochran Ave., Charlotte, MI 48813 or to the Ingham County Animal Shelter, 600 Curtis St., Mason, MI 48854.
