Ronald E. Upton

Leslie, formerly of Mason, MI

Age 68, died July 23, 2014; born September 13, 1945 to Lester and Mildred (Clickner) Upton. Ronald had been a resident of Leslie for the past 22 years. In his retirement he enjoyed mowing lawns and plowing snow for senior citizens. He was an avid hunter, loved camping and was a great storyteller. He enjoyed antique tractors, steam engine shows and working on cars. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shirley Van Brocklin; and sister-in-law, Arlene Thompson. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Devon of 27 years; daughters Sandra (Russell Johnson) Colyer, Cassandra Upton; son, James Upton; in-laws, Pearl (Trevor) Dornbos, Arthur (Nina) Clark; and brother, Robert (Diane) Upton. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes. 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, Michigan with interment to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the family.
