Roy Michael Wright passed away Friday, November 4, 2011 in Lansing at the age of 62. He was born in Lansing on January 19, 1949. Roy is survived by his loving companion of 37 years, Sue Strait, children: Billy (Celesten) Strait and Jill Morris, 6 granddaughters: Paige, Madelyn, Madison, Elizabeth, Sydney and Lillian, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws. Roy lived for and cherished his precious granddaughters. He enjoyed music, MOPAR muscle cars, fishing and photography. He had 40 years of service at Meijer as a meat cutter. His family will celebrate his life on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Ronald Brooks officiating at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, MI 48854. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the service at 10:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Central United Methodist Church, 215 N. Capitol, Lansing, MI 48933.
