Ruth A. Monahan

Ruth A. Monahan, age 87 passed away February 8 , 2015. She was born August 10, 1927 in Manistique, MI to Kenneth and May (Aldrich) Hyland. She was military dependent since 1950, loved to travel, was an avid reader and loved to do crossword puzzles. She also loved sports especially bowling, golf and fishing. Ruth enjoyed gardening and planting flowers. Most of all she loved her family very much especially her grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by one son, David Monahan, she is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert; one daughter, Linda (Jerry) Pavwoski; 3 sons, Robert (Amy) Monahan, Donald (Martha) Monahan, Daniel Monahan; 9 grandchildren, Angie Wilson, Carley Monahan, Colleen Monahan, Justin Monahan, Briana Monahan, Kiera Monahan, Kyle Monahan, Aryn (Dan) Reed and Russell Perkins; 3 great grandchildren, Ava Monahan, Peyton Reed and Harper Reed; one sister, Margaret “Maggie” Higgins; many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held in the summer at their hometown in the U.P.
