Scott was born in Michigan on May 6, 1957. He worked in the construction field most of his life and traveled the United States for work as well as pleasure. He also lived and worked as a card dealer in Las Vegas for sometime, but he always considered Michigan home and has live here for many years.
He was an avid poker player and enjoyed gambling at the Soaring Eagle Casino in Mount Pleasant. Scott followed most of the Detroit sports teams, from baseball to football he loved them all. He also enjoyed golfing in his spare time and spending time with family and friends. As a kid, Scott disliked his unusual middle name "Elephaz" but later joked that it was an icebreaker with the ladies as Scott had been divorced for years.

He leaves behind a daughter, Kathleen E. Keen; a granddaughter, Heather R. Ballard; grandson, Logan M. Ballard; sister, Elizabeth (Leon) Hamilton; nieces, Ashley (Joshua) Lowe, Chelsey Hamilton; great-nephews, Vance, Hunter and Wyatt Lowe as well as many loved aunts uncles and cousins.
