Shirley Jean (Walter) Hollis, of Mason, MI., joined her beloved husband Dick (Richard) Hollis on January 28, 2022. Born December 30, 1929 to the late Florence (Lytle) and Harry Walter in Saginaw, MI. After moving to Lansing, Shirley graduated from Sexton High School and married Dick in June of 1948. Upon retirement from the Secretary of State, they enjoyed traveling in their 5th wheel (which she excelled in driving and backing up at different RV parks).
Lovingly known as "Gannas" Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memory, her two daughters, Vicki Morales and Pam (Wayne) Badge; Three grandchildren, Shannon (Ron) Hodges, Erik (Judy) Booth, and A.J (Meghan) Badge; Three great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn (her "cuddle buddy"), Khloe Booth, and Lilly Badge; Three great-grandsons, Zane, Greydon, and Ryker Badge; Her dog, Benjamin; And a large family of nieces, nephews, plus many neighbors and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; Son, Gary; Brother, Harry Walter; And her beloved dog Mandy.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
