Thelma W. McManus

Eaton Rapids, MI Formerly of Okemos, MI

Born October 31, 1916 in Lansing to Frank and Laura (Mills) Lay, passed away September 17, 2011 at the age of 94. She took great pride in her family and home. She was a volunteer for 15 years at Sparrow Hospital, also an active member of Okemos Eastern Star Chapter 267, and in the Okemos Community Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Derwood J. Dickinson and Kenneth G. McManus, Sr.; stepdaughter, Eleanor Wells and granddaughter, Jodi Wells. Surviving are a stepson, Kenneth G. McManus, Jr. and sons Richard (June) Dickinson of Perry, Donald (Phyllis) Dickinson of Mason and Brian (Kathy) McManus of Lansing; ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Mason with Rev. George R. Grettenberger officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home, one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a memorial donation to Country Acres Adult Foster Care Home, 735 S. Michigan Rd., Eaton Rapids, MI 48827 or charity of one’s choice in memory of Thelma.
