Wayne Young

Born September 3, 1929 in Crystal, Michigan to Carl and Mabel (Willard) Young, passed away on January 31, 2016 at the age of 86. Wayne served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a resident of Dansville for over 50 years. Wayne retired from GM after 34 years of service. Wayne was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and cut wood. He was preceded in death by his wife Lois J. Young of 55 years; son, Ronald Young; sisters, Ruth Baker and Donna Pollock; brother, Ted Young. Surviving are his daughter, Linda (Chuck) Bissell; son, Daniel (Heather) Young; daughter-in-law, Esther Young; 7 grandchildren, Paul (Lisa) Young, Brenda Young, Diane (Scott Goldammer) Young, Charlie (Amanda Florenski) Bissell, Carol (Zach) Gradowski, Danielle Young, Hannah Young; 5 great-grandchildren, Levi Young, Ava Young, Emma Gradowski, Zachary Gradowski, Evelyn Bissell, and number 6 due in June; sisters, Viva Dyer, Mildred (Everett) Golden and Marguerite Gates. Funeral Services will be held Friday February 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dansville Free Methodist Church, 1330 Mason St., Dansville, MI 48819 with Pastor Lori Dowdy officiating. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Dansville, MI with military honors. The family will receive friends on Thursday February 4, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason, MI.
