William "Charles" Ealy passed away peacefully on October 2, 2018 after a short illness surrounded by his children. He was the beloved husband of Nancy for 60 years but a lifetime companion for 72 years. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, and a great-granddaughter. Surviving to cherish his memory one son, Jeff (Pat) Ealy; daughter, Lori (Mark) Howe; four grandchildren, Matthew (Katie) Ealy, Andrew (Samantha) Howe, Staci (Bryan) Davis, Lisa (Ryan) Cavanaugh; and eight great-grandchildren.
Charles served in the Army and then with the GI Bill, graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Accounting. He worked as an accountant for US Plywood then became a CPA at Seidman and Seidman. Business was his passion and he had an entrepreneurial spirit. He loved talking about business, economics, finance, religion and politics. Charles also had a wonderful sense of humor, a love of life, enjoyed playing the piano, and took great joy in his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Trinity Church, 3355 Dunckel Rd., Lansing, MI 48911.
