William C. Hujsak, age 70, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at his home in Mason, Michigan. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and for his fun-loving spirit and gentle nature.

Bill was raised in Merrimack, NH, the second of four children to Alex and Annis Hujsak. He spent his youth working and playing on the family farm, working at his father’s car dealership, skiing the mountains of New Hampshire and Vermont, and racing cars with his siblings and friends. While serving in the US Army, he made a lifelong friend who encouraged him to come to Michigan and enroll at Michigan State University. There he discovered two of his greatest joys: his future wife, Donna, and a love for MSU athletics (specifically basketball and football). For the rest of his life, he cherished Donna and bled green for MSU!

Bill graduated from MSU with a degree in Accounting which led to a successful 38-year career at Consumers Energy.

Bill loved to play games, have fun, make jokes, and spend time with family and friends. Whether it be playing cribbage with his NH family, Euchre with his MI family, water skiing at Higgins Lake, houseboating on Lake Powell, playing tennis and golf with friends, or just hanging out while drinking beer and trading barbs with anyone and everyone. “Let’s do something fun” was his mantra, even until his last days.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years, Donna (Beebe); his children, Chad (Lindsay) Hujsak, Erin (Will) Clark, and Kelly (Scott) Yates; his grandchildren, Felisha, Michelle, Christa, Alex, Mason, Lucas, and Oliver; his brothers, Richard Hujsak and Andy Hujsak; his sister, Elaine Dunton; and many more loving cousins, nephews, nieces, and in-laws.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 11am at the First Presbyterian Church of Mason, 131 E. Maple St. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. There will also be a visitation on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 5pm until 8pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Mason Chapel, 621 S. Jefferson St. in Mason.

Contributions may be made in memory of Bill to the First Presbyterian Church of Mason or to the American Cancer Society.

To Donna and all of Bill’s family members, I worked with Bill over a number of years. He had a unique expertise that he so willingly shared. He would often put other work aside to help me so many times.

I remember being of Irish decent, telling him that my birthday should have been on St. Patrick’s Day instead of his. LOL He talked about those houseboat trips on Lake Powell boy he loved those!

Bill was a treasure and was a very respected and fun member of the Tax group to be around. I am so very sorry he’s no longer with us. My condolences to you all.

Donna and family, we were sadden by the news of your husband and dear ole dad's passing. Since his retirement, he's come up in many conversations and we've missed his big smile, hearty laugh and expertise. On the behalf of the Tax Department at Consumers Energy, "may God rest his quiet soul and strengthen the family to endure."

Forever your Tax Department family!

How fortunate I am to have known and laughed with Bill Hujsak. At family gatherings or just "at the lake," he was always a source of good conversation and quick wit. His family is a wonderful reflection of his love for them and the fine man we now miss.

We have lost a great man. He always had a smile on his face and the love for his wife and family was far too great for words. Terry always knew that if anything ever happened to him, Bill would be the best replacement for his daughter, Lindsay. Now they are both in heaven together watching over us all. We are still in the best hands ever!!!!!! God Bless us ❤️

Bill was always up for anything, even if that meant a silly bet with Chad's college buddies. Here is a lovely shot of Bill paying off his "girly drink" bet. I believe that's a delicious Cosmo he's sipping on.

Bill will be missed so much! We have shared Game Night and other events with he and Donna and another couple every month or so for several years. Bill was so much fun and so witty, besides being very good at the games. We treasure his and Donna’s friendship and the memories of these evenings together. Our love, thoughts and prayers are with you, Donna, and your family.
