William Davis Post II

Mason, Michigan

Born December 22, 1933 in Mason, Michigan; went to be with the Lord October 12, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Florence Post; his brother Richard Post; his sister Shirley Fox; and his first wife Dolores (Roll) Post. He leaves behind his wife, Edna Post; sons Scott (Becky) Post of Ohio, William D. Post III of Mason, Greg Post of Pleasant Lake; daughter Erica Post of Mason; brothers David (Carolyn) Post, Norman (Helen) Post; sister Pam (George) Surbeck; grandchildren Beth, Nikki, DeeDee, Matthew, Todd, Brandi, Josh, Michaela; 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Bill served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1962. Bill was retired from the Michigan Department of Transportation. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved to travel and camp. He also loved his little cabin in the U.P. Bill was a member of South Church in Lansing where he especially enjoyed the fellowship of Bearean Bible class. Funeral services will be held at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason on Monday, October 15, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with interment to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
