William W. Witt

Mason, Michigan

Age 67, died June 23, 2014; born November 24, 1946 to Duane and Beverly (Grumet) Witt. William lived in Wyoming for 10 years and in Michigan for the remainder of his life. He was employed with the Ingham County Sheriff’s Department, Civil Division. He was an avid hunter; outdoorsman and loved his dogs. William played the guitar and sang, was a talented artist. He enjoyed electrical engineering and architectural. He was an avid motorcycle and car fan. William was preceded in death by his father, Duane. Surviving to cherish his memory are his daughter, Lori (Michael) Peterson; sons, Andrew W. Witt, Nathan (Tina) Witt; 4 grandchildren, Alexander “Bear” Witt, Michael Peterson, Danai Peterson, Katheryne (Andreas) Syversen; 4 great grandchildren, Evelyn Syversen, Brooklynn Grubb, Mason Peterson, Austin Peterson; mother, Beverly; brother, Mark (Janet) Witt, and sisters, Marliss and Dawn Witt. A Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, MI. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the family in care of Andrew Witt.
