This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. Everyone just keeps telling me how strong I am but right now I’m just lost. My mom was my rock. When something went wrong she was the one who I called, I’ve already tried many times this last week. Now I’m sitting here searching for the perfect story or memory of my mother and the truth is, there are just too many to tell everyone in one day – it’s just not going to happen. My mom was my mom. She was the best person. She was one of my favorite people this world had to offer. She was genuine, kind, loving and sometimes a little raw for some people – but with my mom you knew what you were going to get -- authenticity. My mom loved whole heartedly and just didn’t have it in her to lie.

My mom was one that I’d call a best friend – she has always told me that a parent couldn’t be a friend until your child was an adult and she was correct. She wasn’t my friend growing up – she was our security and our guidance – it was her job to make sure that we grew up to be good people. When I turned 18 and as I got older there were things that I learned about my mom that I would have never believed growing up – she just didn’t believe in showing us that side. Always said “that wasn’t the appropriate side”. But when I got to play bunco with her or attend my first girls weekend, it was another story – I was an adult LOL!

I just loved my mom – she was such a fun person and such a breath of fresh air. I loved sitting with her talking, or not talking at all, just being with her was enough. My mom was one of kind, her smile lit up the room and her laugh was contagious. She had the best laugh and I miss it already – I would love nothing more than to hear it one more time.

I love you mom and I’ll spend the rest of my life missing you. Until we see you again, I love you😘😘😘

Yvonne even though we were only work friends you were one of the most caring person I have ever meet. When Bob was sick you check on me all the time. If you didn't see me you wrote to me on face book. You were that person that when you ask how are you doing. You really wanted to know. Thank you for being my friend. I will miss you dearly. Love Lisa Thomas.
