ARTHUR A. LAWRENCE JR. Beloved husband of Georgeann (Battiato) for 52 years. Dearest father of Irenna (Steve), Lexx (Dozer) and American father of Nah-Young Kim (departed). Devoted son of Constance and Arthur Lawrence. Brother to Mara (Jim) Yehl, Candy, Frank (Earla). Dear Brother-in-Law of Patty DiCioccio (Dick-deceased) and Lucy Chess (Andrew). Cherished Uncle of Rachel Dicioccio, Nick (Katie) DiCioccio, J.R. (Marissa) DiCioccio, Drew (Cali) Chess, Dane (Nicole) Yehl, & Kristian Rene Yehl. Great Uncle to Lila, Sienna, Alessa, Angelo, Riley, Mia, Will, Jamie and Connie. Arthur was a 1970 graduate of Boston college. He was the first college graduate of his family and proudly worked his way to a degree in finance. After graduating, he began work with Xerox Corporation, eventually venturing out on his own to open Lawrence Diversified Inc. He made Lawrence Diversified a family business and passionately ran it for 50 years. Art had many passions in life, most notably his love for his wife and family. He loved nature, especially Lake Erie, playing tennis as well as playing golf, which he was yet to master but enthusiastically practiced. In his younger years, he was an avid water skier and slalom skier, setting the local record for longest continual slalom ski from Cleveland to Cedar Point! (A three+ hour ski trip!) He loved being on the water and boating was a cornerstone of his life. The Intermission (his boat) was truly a joy for him. It brought him happiness and peace, especially when he was able to share it with his friends and loved ones. Sharing the boat and the water with his loved ones filled Art with Light. He always said how healing the water was and there was no point in having a boat if you didn’t share it with everyone you love. He really was the epitome of generosity. He will be sorely missed by his entire family and all his dear friends. He was truly one of a kind.
