Bruce E. Ballash

BRUCE E. BALLASH age 74, retired Sergeant with the City of Mayfield Hts. Police Dept. for 39 years and former President of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #57, passed away October 15, 2022. Beloved son of the late Edward and Helen "Babe", devoted and loving father of Amber Cramer (spouse Jeffrey Cramer) and Alayna LaMarca (fiancé Courtney Winn IV); dearest grandfather of Jocelyn, Jimmy and Sienna, bonus Papa to Jaden and Courtney “Cort” Dinero-Winn; dearest and loving brother of Terry Skomrock (spouse David). Former husband to Lynette Brofman (spouse Robert Brofman) and Ret. Judge Mary Kaye Bozza. Dear uncle, cousin and loyal friend to so many. Bruce lived for his daughters and family. He was known for his loyalty and always loved telling jokes and having fun with friends. He never met a stranger. While on the job, Bruce made sure to know all the small business owners in the city, and treated everyone with the same respect, from restaurant owners to dishwashers. Bruce was a history buff, avid reader of nonfiction, train collector, dog lover (especially Bloodhounds and German Shepherds) and a huge fan of the Cleveland Indians.
