

CAMILLA A. PIUNNO (nee Ziglinski), age 94. Beloved wife for 26 years of the late Ralph C. Piunno. Dearest mother of Rose Pasternak (Damion), Linda Woodland (Bill) and Ralph (Mary). Devoted grandmother of Daryn and Alyssa. Born in Natrona, Pennsylvania, she was a dear sister of eight siblings (all deceased): Regina Murawski, Elvina Faraci (Sam), Sabina Cummins (Thomas), Monica Sharick (Joseph), Daniel, Richard, Isabel White(deceased) (Vernon), and Sylvester (deceased) (Patricia). Cherished aunt to many. She was a graduate of Har-Brack High School and following graduation moved to Washington DC with her sister Isabel. She worked at the Department of Agriculture and the Air Force at the Pentagon. Following her husband’s death, she was employed by the IRS for 18 years in downtown Cleveland. The Piunnos were a founding family of Gesu Parish and Camilla was an active member there 62 years, participating in First Friday devotions, St. Francis Xavier novenas and praying the rosary daily. Their Catholic faith was important to both Camilla and Ralph, which they passed on to their children by their example and sacrifice in providing a Catholic education. Camilla loved to garden and her home was the recipient of the University Heights Beautiful Home Award. She was an amazing cook and kept an immaculate home. Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Tuesday June 10 at Church of the Gesu 2470 Miramar Blvd., University Hts., OH 44118, followed by Interment at All Souls Cemetery.
