

CATHERINE “KAY” DISCENZA (nee Mastrangelo) passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on May 6, 2017 at age 88. She was born May 22, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Domenick and Edna Mastrangelo (both deceased). She was the beloved wife of the late John. Catherine and John were married May 24, 1947 and moved to Parma Heights, Ohio in 1954 where they raised their family. She lived in her home for 62 years, was actively involved in the Mission Circle of Holy Family Church, had many friends, and gave generously of her time to help others. Kay was a fun loving, spirited woman who touched many lives and will be greatly missed. Catherine is the cherished mother of David (Carolyn), Joann Koteles (Gary), Maryann Hall (John), and Sandra Trotter (Jeffrey); loving grandmother of Dawn Rush (Earl), Elizabeth Discenza, Andrew Hall (Leena), Daniel Hall, Nathan Hall, Melissa Roth (James), Lauren Trotter, Anthony Molina (Sarah), Charles Molina Jr, and Angela Quinn (James); devoted great-grandmother of Ava, Kai, Violet, Avan, Iya, Angela, Anthony, David, Carolyn, Patricia, Jesse, Sydney, and Elyse; dear sister of Jeanette Palladino (Charles, both deceased) and Nancy DiCicco (Anthony), loving aunt and great-aunt to many. The family wishes to thank the thoughtful caregivers of Holy Family Hospice for their loving care and devotion.
