Dominic “Chili” Aveni, Jr. age 89, passed away peacefully at home on November 9, 2019. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Gena (Pasquale) of 43 years. Born to the late Dominic and Angela (Santangelo) Aveni. Daughters, Debbie (Bob) Juker, Cheryl Aveni (formerly Arms) and son Dominic (Gail) Aveni Sisters, Theresa Kingsmill (deceased) and Lucille (Jack) Finley.
Brothers Anthony Aveni (deceased) and Jack (Marge) Aveni (deceased). Grandchildren, Diane (Ken) Winter, Jessica (Scott) Roberts, Michael Juker, Nicholas Juker (deceased) Gary (Melissa) Arms, Justin (Liz) Arms, Eric Arms, Anthony (Jenna) Arms, Angela Arms, Joe Aveni, Dominic Aveni, Marina Aveni, and Alexendra D’Amato. Great-grandfather, uncle and cousin too many. Chili was a member of the Collinwood Memories and Bricklayer’s Union #5. He was an avid golfer, bowler and Card “Gin” Player. He was known for his sense of humor and infectious smile. Chili attended Brush High School where he excelled in track and football. He still holds the record for the longest touch down. The family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful caregivers at Altercare of Mayfield and Hospice of the Western Reserve. Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday November 16, 2019, 10am at Holy Redeemer Parish, 15712 Kipling Rd. Cleveland, Ohio 44110. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery, 10366 Chardon Rd., Chardon, OH 44024. Family will receive friends at DiCicco and Sons Funeral Home, 5975 Mayfield Rd. Mayfield Heights, OH 44124 on Friday, November 15, 2019, from 3-8pm.
