DORIS M. SHELL (nee McNally) age 90. Beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Shell; loving mother of Michael J. (Karen), Daniel J. (Deb), and Doreen M. Larson (Len); beloved grandmother of Sarah Smedley (Jon), Charles Shell, Jonathan Shell, Brian Shell, Tony Piunno, Tim Piunno, and Joe Shell; daughter of the late Michael J. and Mae (nee Kinkopf) McNally; dear sister of her late brothers Robert M. McNally and Raymond T. McNally; cherished sister-in-law of Carol McNally and of many nieces and nephews. Doris was the music director, organist, and choir director at St. Felicitas (now St. John of the Cross) Catholic Church, Euclid, Ohio, for over 45 years. She studied voice and organ at the Cleveland Institute of Music, and her pure soprano voice is remembered by all, in particular the devoted members of her choir. Beside her family and her faith, music was her passion, and for many years she attended Cleveland Orchestra and other musical concerts. In 1980, shortly after the death of her husband, she organized the St. Felicitas Parish widow’s group, reaching out to fellow widows with companionship and understanding. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of Ursuline, 2600 Lander Rd., Pepper Pike, Ohio 44124. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Thursday January 5th at St. John of the Cross Church. Entombment All Souls Cemetery.
