Edward Joseph Spisak

EDWARD JOSEPH SPISAK age 75, passed away July 1, 2016. Loving husband of Irene (nee Shuster); devoted father of Vincent, Winnifred, Stephen (Kimberly), Nathan (Melanie), and Andrew (Ashley); dear grandfather of Aidan, Andrew, Vincent, and Evelyn. Edward was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 22, 1940, the eldest child of Vincent and Rose (both deceased). He was the brother of Patricia and Margaret (both deceased), and Mary Ann. He was a graduate of Benedictine High School and the University of Dayton. Edward began his professional life as a teacher, but thereafter made his living as an electrical contractor. He retired in 2014. Edward enjoyed fishing, boating, travelling, the family’s pets, and being a fan of Cleveland’s sports teams. He was an active member of the Gordon Shore Boat Club. In recent years, Edward most enjoyed the mild Florida winters with his wife Irene at their home in Port Charlotte, and spending time with his grandchildren whom he cherished. Relatives and friends are invited to gather for the Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Wednesday July 6 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 6850 Mayfield Rd. Gates Mills, OH 44040.
