

Freddy attended Central High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and received an honorable discharge. When asked what was the one thing he was most nervous about, he said “jumping out of those planes”!
During his lifetime, Freddy held various jobs. His last job was with Anderson Bus Service. Driving for Anderson, afforded him the opportunity to travel to many states. His favorite place was Nova Scotia, Canada.
Freddy was the life of the party. He lived life to the fullest. He was known as a real “charmer”. He loved family and looked forward to attending the Powell family reunions. Freddy was an avid sports fan. One of his favorite past times was watching sports and talking about sports with his great grandson, Jeremiah. His favorite team was the Pittsburg Steelers. He also enjoyed playing his music. His favorite singer was Nat King Cole. His favorite song was the collaboration of the song unforgettable with Natalia Cole. Dad you will truly be unforgettable.
He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters Coraneita Annette and Penny; two sons Freddy Jr. (Susan) and Jerald (Kim); nine grandchildren Sheila, Summer, Justin, Mychael, Timothy, Joshua, Jackson, Olivia and Hope. Six great grandchildren Brittany, Jerry, Kamri, Jeremiah (Quick), Tamia (Ballgirl), and Jalen (lunch meat) who preceded him in death. Seven great great grandchildren Harmony, Jelani, Jaharie, Journey, Cartier, Jacoby and Tyrese Jr., who preceded him in death. Sister Betty Evans and brother Robert (Sonny). As well as a host of family and friends. His sisters Mary Dix and Helen Miller preceded him in death.

Inurnment 9:15 AM Monday October 5th at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
