Jane E. Desbans-Corcelli

Jane was born on May 30, 1962, in Cleveland, Ohio, and was adopted by Frank and Aurora Corcelli. She never played the lottery because she said she had already won having been adopted into the best family ever.

Most important to her was her family. She was a mother to Max and Ben, sister to Paul, Mike, and Kate, sister-in-law to Gina, daughter-in-law to Sylvie, and aunt to Kayla, Andi, and Joe. She also loved her many aunts, uncles, cousins, and, of course, her future daughters-in-law, Melanie and Lia!

Jane held a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Boston University and worked in this field for 40 years. She also earned a master’s degree in early childhood education. She worked in that field at the American School of Paris and said that her time there was some of the most fun she had working.

Jane loved to travel, having lived in France for 13 years and South Korea for 2 years, while visiting over 27 countries throughout her life. She also loved her book club, celebrating birthdays with her best friends, and walking her beloved Black Lab, Titus, with her cherished dog-walking group.

In lieu of flowers, Jane asked that donations be made to the Michigan Humane Society where she adopted Titus, who loyally stood by her side until the very end.
