

Jett Rick Olique, a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, brother-in-law, and cousin, left this world far too soon at the tender age of 23. His unexpected departure has left an indescribable void in our lives, and his memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Born on October 17, 1999, Jett Rick brought immense joy and warmth into the lives of his family. He was a loving and supportive brother to his older sisters, always present in their achievements and milestones. He embraced his role as a caring older brother—a “kuya”—to his younger brother, showering him with love and affection. He constantly strived to be a better son to his parents, seeking ways to improve and make his family proud.
To his friends and cousins, Jett Rick was a constant source of fun and laughter. His playful and mischievous spirit, described affectionately as “makulit,” brought happiness to all those around him. Beyond his playful demeanor, he possessed a quiet kindness that endeared him to all who knew him. He had a gentle soul and a heart full of love, always ready to lend a hand or offer a comforting presence to those in need. He would go to great lengths to protect and fight for his loved ones, even if it meant putting himself in harm’s way.
Jett Rick was a survivor in every sense of the word. Despite facing numerous challenges throughout his life, he was determined to overcome the obstacles that life threw his way, always finding the strength to persevere. He strived to survive and create a better future for himself.
In his spare time, Jett Rick enjoyed playing basketball with his father, friends, and cousins. He has a natural talent for creating and editing videos, captivating audiences with his creativity and storytelling. He found solace in writing lyrics and rapping, using music as an outlet for his emotions. He also discovered a passion for playing the piano, teaching himself this beautiful instrument, delighting all who had the pleasure of hearing him play. His incredible dance moves made him the life of any gathering, captivating everyone with his natural rhythm and talent.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Jett Rick Olique will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 and Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 3 pm to 7 pm at Dicicco & Sons Funeral Home. There will be a funeral mass at St. Paschal Baylon Parish on Thursday, July 13 at 10:30 am.
Rest in peace, our dodong Jett. Your vibrant spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love will forever be cherished and remembered. You have left an indelible mark on our lives, and we are grateful for the time we had with you. May your soul find eternal peace.
