JOHN " JACK " DeFRANCO age 95, passed away October 22, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Elaine; dearest father of Jack Jr. (Joy), Jeffrey (deceased) and Valerie Ann Quior (Danny); dear brother of Carl (deceased), Pat, Tony and Leonard; uncle and great uncle to many. Jack was a graduate of East Tech High School, a Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard serving during WWII. He played professional hockey in the IHL in the 40's and also refereed for the AHL and NHL. Besides hockey, Jack loved golf, fishing and watching sports on TV. Contributions may be made in Jack's memory to New Avenues to Independence, 17608 Euclid Ave. Cleveland, OH 44112. The mission of New Avenues to independence is to provide opportunities and support for people with disabilities and special needs, so they can become more independent and productive members of society. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Tuesday October 27th at St. Paschal Baylon Church. Interment All Souls Cemetery.
