JOHN C. GORKA age 62, died on April 29, 2013 from multiple myeloma. Beloved son of the late Felix and Janet Gorka (née Bizga); dear brother of Paul (deceased) (Shirley), Richard (Kathy), and Margaret; uncle of 15 and great uncle of 8; cousin of Chester Bizga, Joan Bruening, and many others. He was graduated from St. Ignatius High School (1969) and from John Carroll University (1973). John was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam Era and attaining the rank of 1st Lieutenant. He was subsequently employed by the U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs for over 33 years, retiring in 2010. It was John's wish that his relatives and friends know that he was a faithful Catholic to the end, believing all the teachings of the traditional Catholic Faith and would not submit to the errors of Vatican II, including its modernist liturgy and its apostate popes, bishops, and priests. Despite the popular but erroneous belief that most people go to heaven when they die, John specifically requested that his relatives and friends pray for the release of his soul from Purgatory, because so very few go straight to Heaven. John asked that three Hail Marys, at least, be prayed to beseech God's mercy upon his soul. Requiem Mass 12 noon Friday May 3rd at the funeral home. Interment Chester Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the DiCICCO & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 5975 MAYFIELD RD. MAYFIELD HTS. (at Lander Rd.) Thursday 4-8 pm. Online condolences www.diciccoandsonsfh.com .
