Jack was a fine businessman and a Union employer.  He was a role model for many having been poor as a youngster who worked his way up fairly to own his own business.  He used a good part of his wealth to help others. He certainly was there for St. Augustine and the thousands of meals on Thanksgiving. In short, Jack was devoted to his family, his  Community and his Creator....one fabulous man! I am honored to be his friend. I give my sympathy to his family.

Jack was a dear and devoted, long time friend of my father, Dick Acton.  I will forever be grateful for his kindness to him. I was employed in the Toledo branch for several years before I retired and always looked forward to the times when we were able to get together and talk. He was a great collector of vehicles and sports memorabilia and I loved to see his collections. 
And as others have mentioned he had some great stories to go along with them. 
I’m so glad that God allowed us to know each other and I am sure he will be missed by all his family and friends and myself for sure.

My father (Dan Tobin) was a lighting associate with Jack, going back to the 1960's.  As time went on they would get together once or twice a year for lunch.  My father would talk about his upcoming lunch for a week. He really enjoyed the time he spent with Jack.
I met Jack at the lighting show downtown last year. I introduced myself & I could see a glow in Jack's eyes when I mentioned my father.  Jack immediately started telling stories of the good times they had together.  During my brief conversation with Jack I could tell he must have had a positive influence on many.

Jerrod, Never a dull moment in the presence of your father. His baseball stories are legend. He leaves a void for those of us privileged to know him. I feel he and Acton are throwing a couple down.
