Joseph L. Mitchell

JOSEPH L. MITCHELL age 84, passed away peacefully at home November 7, 2014. He graduated from Benedictine High School class of 1947 and Cleveland State University. He was a cinematographer, photographer, film editor and self employed technical writer. He enjoyed golf, tennis, bowling and singing, acting and directing as a Gates Mills Player for 39 years. Beloved husband for 63 years of MaryAnn (nee Sarka); dearest father of Gerald, Michael (Carolyn), Karen (David Werstak), Dennis, Joe (Amy), Peggy Ramacciatti (Richard) and Christopher (Ann O'Neill); devoted grandfather of Brooke, Monica, Layne, Russell (deceased), Valerie Volker (Clark), Kevin Micuch (Chandra), Mark, Ashley, Joey, Macey, Ryann, Shannon, Jessica, Danny and Alice and great grandfather of Avari and Kent; dear brother of John Micuch (Janice); uncle and great uncle to many. Contributions may be made in Joseph's memory to the Msgr. William B. Gallagher Education Fund c/o St. Francis of Assisi Church, 6850 Mayfield Rd. Gates Mills, OH 44040.
