My deepest sympathies to the immediate family.  Kamilla was my Godmother, she never failed in spending time with me or checking up on me.  Even into my sixties she would always call and wish me a Happy Birthday or Name Day.  In all our conversations she always insisted on hearing of my life without ever once complaining about her struggles.  She was a truly good person and will be missed.

Kamila was my sister Mundlea  L'Orange's  Shaker high school friend and thus a friend of the family for life.  Her daughter Kathy was also a friend of the family.  Munda and Kamila went to events at school together.  I remember walking to the strudel shop on Buckeye Road with Munda and then stopping at Kamilla's house to visit who was home.  Both Kathy and Kamilla were patients of my dad, Dr. Finn L'Orange, and so as the dental hygienist I cleaned both of their teeth. When Munda was working for Daddy on Sat or Martha, my other sister, was working for Daddy it was like a party when they would come in. Both Kathy and Kamilla attended many Birthdays party's we had for my parents both in the house and outside in the yard and even when they moved to South Woodland at, my parents 60th wedding anniversary and Daddy's 95th bd in tent. Both attended my parents' funeral and Mundalea's Funeral. It is hard to believe the long time that Kamilla suffered and how hard this has been on Kathy.  I was Facetiming them in early Sept. and Kamilla looked so weak then. Thru the years I would call them up to check on them or they would call me to check on me and we would talk for at least an hour.  Kamilla fought a good fight with cancer . I am Debbie L'Orange a friend of the family for life.

Sad news.  Kathy, your mother was a sweet energetic hello in my life. She carried her heart in her hand shake. May you know that I am thinking of you and yours during this difficult time.

Kammy was one of my closest and dearest friends throughout high school, and for several years there after. I remember her as one of the most generous, kindest, most sincere and caring people that I have ever known. I don’t recall her ever saying an unkind word about anyone.  The world is just a little colder with Kammy gone and certainly the heavens have gained an angel. I am comforted to remember that love never dies.  Rest in peace, my darling friend.

Kathy, I'm sending you strength during this difficult time.  I was so sad to read this news.  Your mom was always so bubbly.  And what a warrior she has been for you.  She was a special lady.  My condolences.
