MARGOT M. GIORDANO (nee Foster) age 87, died peacefully at home on Sunday, March 3, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Margot was born on July 2, 1936, in Cleveland, the daughter of James B. Foster, Jr. and Marguerite Foster (nee Kastner). Margot graduated from Shaw High School in Cleveland and married Anthony J. Giordano (deceased) on May 12, 1956. During their 63-year marriage Margot and Tony embarked on many adventures together from the casinos of Las Vegas to the beaches of Paradise Island for family vacations to the wine country in Italy making memories of a lifetime. One of Margot’s proudest achievements were her 3 children, David (Sue), Anthony J. (Maria), and Monica G. Saponaro (Joseph) whom she loved and cherished until her last breath. Margot was blessed to be Nana to her 8 grandchildren: Brittany Pandian (Mukundh), David (Rebecca), Christina Villani (Michael), Anthony (Fiancé Laila), Alex Waldock (Christopher), and Joey, Christian, and Matt Saponaro, and her 7 great grandchildren: Gavin, Elle, Callan, Declan, Sevyn, Carter and Valentina—she loved spending time with them and making them laugh. Margot was proud of her Irish heritage and often reminded her family that they were “not just Italian but Irish too”. Margot was an avid reader and a wine connoisseur. She loved to banter and have fun with her family and friends and enjoyed playing golf for many years at Grantwood and Barrington. During recent years she was so grateful to meet her many new friends at Atrium II and cherished the time they spent together. Margot and her family are eternally grateful to her earth angels, Dorothy, Lisa, Faye and Joyce, who treated Margot as their own and took wonderful care of her during the past several months. She will be eternally missed by all who know her.
