Marrali family, so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother.  I remember her always cooking great Italian food and giving us all something to eat and I mean always.  Time has passed and it has been so long since I have seen her or any of you but the photo of your mother brings back good memories and smiles.  God Bless you all in this hard time and you are all in my thoughts and prayers.  It's nice to know we have another angel looking out for all of us.

I  was  so  sorry  to  hear  about  your  mother  passing. She  always  made  me  feel  special  to  her.  She  always  wanted  to  feed  me  either at  the  rectory  or  at  her  house.  When  ever  I  was  at  her  house  or  the  rectory  she  would  open  the  refrigerator. I  remember  that  she  had  a  love for  playing  the  lottery. She  will  always  hold  a  special  place  in  my  heart.

When my parents moved to the united states in the late 60's, they did so through the help of my father's uncle. He had family here; my mother did not. Soon after my mother befriended Maria & the Marrali family. She found that the two of them had a lot in common. Besides the obvious, they had gone through similar hardships growing up in world war 2 Italy. Most of all they shared a devout faith in the Holy Roman Catholic Church. The introduction of Maria into my life was the beginning of a relationship with what I soon realized was a second Mother. To numerous to mention are all the things she has done and taught me. I will always cherish the times and the holidays spent together with her and her family and the way she always welcomed me, my father and my mother as if we were part of her actual family. Maria was a great friend and a real joy to be with when she worked at St. Gregory rectory. She always had a good word no matter what was happening. Her constant smile made it a warm place to be. I remember when she learned to drive. Everyone got out of the ay of her "Nina, Pinta, Santa Maria" when she pulled in the drive. Dear Marrali family,

How sadden I was to hear of the passing of your mom.  What a blessing she was in my life. Though I haven't seen her for probably over 30 years, it just seems like yesterday that she was telling me how skinny I was and that I needed to eat, eat!  Your mom, had such love for everyone. She always had that big, beautiful smile radiating with joy. I always felt loved and welcomed with her.  You could definitely tell that she loved the Lord because it showed in everything she did!  As I reflect on my past, she was a important part of it. I will be praying for you all and wish I could be there.
