Mary Ann Brugge

Mary Ann Brugge (née Grunau), 78, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2024, surrounded by her family and friends. She was the cherished wife of the late James, with whom she shared a short yet beautiful life. A loving mother, she is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Gedeon (Gary) and Debra Toothman (Kevin, deceased). Devoted grandmother to Alexis, Cody, Jeremy, and Samuel. Beloved sister to Ron Grunau (Joan), and a dear friend to many. Mary Ann had a gift for making those around her feel special, and nowhere was that more evident than in her kitchen. As a talented baker, she was known for her warm, homemade treats that filled her home with the smell of care and comfort. Her love for her family was boundless, and her greatest happiness came from time spent with those she loved most. Mary Ann’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion touched the lives of all who knew her. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Monday, November 11 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at DiCicco & Sons Funeral Home,5975 Mayfield Rd., Mayfield Heights, OH 44124. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 12, at 10:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Interment will follow at Knollwood Cemetery.
