MARY LOU JAHNKE (nee Brugge) age 83, passed away July 19, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Frank Everett Bennett. Dearest mother of Kristal Anne Simmons (Keith). Dear sister of James Brugge (Mary Ann) (both deceased) and Robert Brugge (deceased). Dear aunt, cousin and friend to many. Mary Lou loved the fall colors and enjoyed taking drives then. She was known for her superbly delicious Christmas cookies, which she gave out to family and friends. She enjoyed Easter and Christmas and everything that went with it. She also enjoyed crocheting afghans, hats, and scarves. Mary Lou had many jobs over the years. She was the Head Song leader and organist for St. John Vianney in Mentor, school bus driver for Lake Catholic High School, Secretary at Astro Model Development in Willoughby, Ohio, and ended her career as Administrative Secretary for the American Lung Association of Northern Ohio.
