My heart, prayers and love go out to one of the most dear, fun and loving family anyone can know.  I have great fun memories of Rick growing up in the neighborhood back in the early 70's and beyond. When I was 11, I had a crush on him and would iron his pants for a quarter!! We all count ourselves lucky in having Rick in our lives. He sure made people laugh, shake their heads at times and smile any time you heard his name.  I love you all and may God Bless.

Barbie was our first real babysitter. She was my idol. It was like having Miss America in our house. Of course, since Janelle and I were the commensurate rotten kids to watch, when she ran into trouble, she called her brother. I called him "Mr. French" after a t.v. show character. He was tall, dark, and he had Barbie's back. I hated that part. My parents grew to trust him. I hated that even more. Too many years went by and we became Friends, since as it turned out the age differences of youth are diminished by time.
I only wish I had known him longer. He was a joy.

Rick was a great guy and is truly missed by all his friends at Echle's Tavern.  He participated in all my pools and was a frequent winner!   He had luck in that part of his life.

I'm so sorry to hear of Ricky's passing.  Some of my earliest and fondest childhood memories involve Ricky.  I'll never forget him living with us in Las Vegas when I was in the second grade. He was the most fun babysitter my sister and I ever had. (What were my parents thinking???- kidding, of course.) I know Ricky will be missed and remembered by you and so many others for his kindness, humor and love of life, family & friends.  My sincerest condolences to you.

Rick was a very dear friend to our entire family for many years including my parents, sisters, aunts and uncles. We are all saddened by his passing and miss him terribly. Rick was my night owl buddy we would talk often into the wee hours of the morning it was through these conversations that I really began to admire him because he would share stories with me about his family and I saw him as a great Dad and Papa and son and uncle and friend we will all miss him

When i think of Rick i do not know where to begin.... He was a great friend and close neighbor, we shared a house for a few years, he lived downstairs i lived upstairs when Devon was just little. Walt says he was the first friend of mine i introduced him to.  I remember the long nights sitting around a poker table and everyone calling him Uncle Rick. And then when Jamie and him got together i thought OHHHHHH dear he does not remind me of husband material, I guess we can laugh about that one now HUH  Jamie???? Jamie bragged to me about what a wonderful Grandpa Rick was and how very much a part of the kids life he had become, so from one grandparent to another i am so very glad he got to have the best title in the world  GRANDPA.... I am heartbroken to hear of the loss of my friend and buddy.  He was always there for me growing up. Rick and his family are family to me.
